I have already put a couple of the custom sudoku puzzles out on the board for beginners to play. However, I want to create some nice Kanji sudoku puzzles, but I'd like to ask for everyone's help in coming up with some creative kanji. The whole point of the sudoku games is to practice writing, because the game focuses on copying the same set of characters over and over until all of the boxes are filled in. This is the sudoku template I have created. You are more than welcome to use a different one if you do not like the one I have provided. For each puzzle, think of 9 kanji to use and replace an already existing sudoku puzzle's number with the kanji example: 1 -> 犬 2 -> 赤 3 -> 水 4 -> 日 etc For each kanji, give at least one Kun'yomi and one On'yomi. If the kanji only has one reading, put that one. DO NOT USE KANJI THAT DO NOT HAVE READINGS (yes, I have seen a couple of these) The competition: Who can come up with the most creative kanji to use. You cannot vote for yourself. Only on other participants. If making the puzzle yourself seems like too much work. You are more than welcome to give me a couple of nine kanji lists with readings. Although making the puzzle would be awesome, that-a-way I can just throw it up onto the kanji sudoku thread when I create it. (I still have to do the katakana sudoku, and I kind of want to take a break from those and concentrate on catching up on some of the games that are in play) Contest end: 14 days from this original post! Good luck! and 頑張って下さい!

Awesome! I will add that one up first thing when I get the thread started. And the first one I ran into is: 𥹖 imiwa? Is a kanji dictionary app that says they have 30,000 kanji. I imagine there are some kanji that still linger in books but have lost their use in the language. It was a while ago that I read this so I encourage research. But imiwa? Has a few kanji in it that have no meaning or reading (though to be honest, it may just be the app... I haven't done any deep diving research into it)

And the first one I ran into is: 𥹖 ここで見つけました。中国語で「pǒu」ですから、日本語で何か「ポウ」でしょうか。多分日本語で使えませんから、日本語の読み方はありません。でも、漢字は中国で作ったから「音読み」があると思います。 和製漢字意外です。Because it's "pou" in Chinese, maybe it's something like 「ポウ」 in Japanese. But because it's not used in Japanese, it probably doesn't have a reading. I think all Kanji probably have the chinese reading because they're made in China. Except for the few Kanji created in Japan.
